The Reverend Ken Bell has served Fredericksburg UMC since July 2002.  A native of New Jersey, Ken has pastored congregations in Iowa since 1980 including: Storm Lake, Hamburg; Wesley UMC (associate), Muscatine; First in Ames (associate); and St. Mark's in Cedar Rapids.  He is a graduate of Taylor University (1968) and of Princeton Theological Seminary in 1979 and 1980.  Prior to ministry, he taught elementary school in Indiana for four years, and served four years in the Army. Ken and Marilyn have been married for over 30 years and have two grown children; Christine in Cedar Rapids, and Dan in Nantucket.  Ken and Marilyn enjoy biking and camping in the summer months;  downhill skiing in the winter, and reading, choir, and attending church renewal seminars are year round favorites. 

His life purpose is to provide competent, servant leadership to UM congregations intent on making disciples for Jesus Christ.  He recommends The Divine Conspiracy, by Dallas Willard and Leading Beyond the Walls , by Adam Hamilton.
